Why "skip the line" at La Pedrera just means "timed entry"
Casa Milà has run on capacity by time slot for years: every ticket, wherever you buy it, carries a date and an entry time. Which means the classic marked-up "skip the line" ticket makes no sense here — there is no secret door that other visitors can't use.
What does exist is a huge difference between turning up with a ticket and turning up without one. With no booking, you first queue at the box office and only then find out whether any slot is left that day; in high season the good hours go fast. With an online ticket you head straight for the pre-booked lane, show your phone and go in with your batch.

Box-office queue
The only one that hurts. This is the line to buy a ticket on the spot, and it grows through the late morning in high season. Buying online avoids it entirely: with the ticket on your phone, this queue isn't yours.
Pre-booked access lane
For visitors who already hold a timed ticket. It moves in batches every few minutes: staff scan your code and through you go. Even in August it moves quickly, because capacity per slot is capped.
Access check
A short security check that every visitor goes through, booking or not. Count on a few minutes, no more. No ticket skips it, premium options included.
Videoguide pick-up
With the Essential ticket, the videoguide is collected after the access check. It's a mild bottleneck at peak times; in the 9:00 slot it's essentially non-existent.
How to get into Casa Milà in 5 minutes
1. Book your slot online

Ignore the purchase queue and look for the pre-booked access lane. Staff scan your code and let you through with your time batch.

Worst times and the real VIP options
Crowds at La Pedrera follow a very stable pattern: from 10:30 to 13:00 the organised groups and cruise passengers arrive, and from June to September that peak stretches into the mid-afternoon. The honest bit: there is no secret door
The internet is full of "tricks" for getting into Casa Milà through alternative entrances. Let's skip the detour: there is one visitor entrance and one only, on the Provença corner. General admission, Sunset, Premium and everything else all go through it. Any site hinting otherwise is selling smoke.
The only genuine "privileged access" is a matter of time, not space: the Sunrise visit goes in at 8:00, while the building is still closed to the general public. It is as close as you get to having La Pedrera to yourself — the rooftop empty, the Espai Gaudí attic in silence — which is why it is the best-rated ticket on Tiqets (4.9/5).
The trick that does work, for free: book the first slot at 9:00 on a Tuesday or Wednesday. You pay the standard €29, walk in without waiting and share the rooftop with a handful of people for the first half hour. It is by far the best effort-to-result ratio on this whole page.
