Who pays and who doesn't
Children 0-11: free
They pay nothing according to the official site lapedrera.com, but they do need their own free ticket for the same time slot as the adults. Add it during the same booking.
Students: reduced rate
With a valid student card (university or ISIC) there is a discount on the standard rate. The exact amount changes by ticket type, so check it when you book. More detail on our student ticket page.
Over-65s: reduced rate
With ID proving your age. As with students, the final price appears in the booking widget or on the official site; we are not going to invent a figure here.
Adults: full rate
From age 12 upwards, with no qualifying card, you pay the standard rate for the ticket you choose: from €25 (Sunset) up to €120 (Premium).
Tip: if you qualify for a concession, carry the card — physical or digital — on the day. Staff at the entrance may ask for it alongside your ticket, and without proof you can be asked to pay the difference.
Official price vs platforms: is there a difference?
Short answer: barely. The base price is set by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, which runs the building, and authorised platforms such as Tiqets sell those same timed tickets. General admission with an audio guide appears on Tiqets from €29, the same as the official Essential, with a 4.7/5 rating.
So why buy through a platform? Three practical reasons: the ticket lands on your phone instantly, many fares allow free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and the whole process is in your own language. To avoid the box-office queue, any online ticket with a time slot will do.
What you will not find on any serious site are "secret discounts". If a website offers La Pedrera well below €25, be suspicious: either it is a partial visit, or it is not a valid ticket. Always compare against the table above.

How to read the "from" price and when you pay more
Almost every La Pedrera price carries the word "from". It is not an aggressive marketing trick, but it helps to understand it: the base price applies to the dates and slots with the least demand. A Tuesday in November at 15:00 will usually sit at the minimum; a Saturday in August at 10:00 can cost a little more. You always see the exact amount in the widget calendar before you pay.
The ticket where flexibility genuinely costs money is the Open Date: from €45 for a ticket with no fixed date or hour. That is about €16 more than the Essential. Worth it? Only if your Barcelona itinerary is genuinely unpredictable. If you know which day you will be in the Eixample, book a specific slot and keep the difference.
The good news: there are no hidden costs. The rooftop, the Espai Gaudí attic, the period apartment and the courtyards are included in every ticket, and the videoguide comes with the Essential at no extra charge. There is no separate "rooftop ticket", which is what some visitors fear after visiting other landmarks. The only real extras are optional: an in-person guide, the cava on the Night Experience or the private room on the Premium.
Quick rule: budget €29 per adult, €0 for each child up to 11, and add on only if you pick a special experience. For a family of two adults and two children, the whole visit comes to €58.
